Stefanie Taylor

In 2000, Stefanie Taylor founded the New Jersey-based brand SKINDEEP Clothing & Accessories LLC, specializing in exotic skins and leather. As time progressed, her focus shifted towards creating bespoke collections and ‘one of a kind’ pieces that would highlight and detail distinct characteristics in her craftsmanship. This evolution led to the re-branding of SKINDEEP by Stefanie Taylor in 2012.

 

Stefanie’s passion for creating accessories began in high school when she collaborated on a project with a classmate, crafting unique pieces from recycled leather and hardware.

 

“I always had a good sense of fashion from a young age, growing up in a house with a fashionista mother. However, my own true style and awareness of how important it was to accessorize the right outfit with the right piece or pieces were the cherry on the top for me.”

 

Stefanie attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and started her fashion career in the garment industry, leading to collaborations with clothing designers, projects via magazines, and the creation of custom pieces for artists in the music industry.

 

SKINDEEP has undergone exciting lifestyle changes over the past decade through Stefanie’s love for travel, including a transformative trip to Ghana, Africa in the beginning of 2020. This experience opened up a new creative portal, bringing forth concepts like textured leathers, horn and hardware pieces, rich textiles, and vibrant colors, resulting in captivating designs that resonate with women worldwide.

 

Crafted with the intention of making bold statement accessories, Stefanie emphasizes originality and the true love of creating ‘wearable art’ pieces that tell a story. She provides modern women with the opportunity to invest in and collect something fabulous with every piece.
